I just spoke about a custom domain pricing, not a WordPress domain cost. And see, you are already paying your registrar money for the domain, and on top of that, you are paying WordPress money to just use your already purchased third-party domain. Get it?
And add $10 more for CSS rights… great naa? Come on, you know that you would grow your blog further, hosting gives you everything that WordPress.com doesn’t.
Example, you can make multiple pages, but then you cannot make multiple posts on your extra pages. Hosting takes that restriction away too. Top that with an option for you go for a site soon. All your tutorial and tips can sit on another dedicated page. And your takes and posts can be in the homepage with widgets or clever Javascripting around headlining the posts in your other sections. Different pages can use different skins/themes. You can start up a photoblog too as your sub-page.
And this definitely sounds way better than anything else. TheTechNut.com, or Photos.TheTechNut.info or whatever. Start writing sponsored posts as soon as your page rank reaches to 4, albeit don’t write too many of them. That would give you some cash for buying a domain and anyone of your pals can share their hosts with you.
And also, redirecting a domain is quite different from using the domain. Like, subpages or posts cannot be linked with .co.nr option, only a valid domain can edit your permalinks. And also, if people link your blog .co.nr, you won’t have any boost in Page Rank or PeeRank™. Keep that in mind too! I know I have tons of things in mind, will be implemented on my blog (read site after a few days!) very soon.

Dude, .co.nr will only be in addition to wordpress.com; so the question doesn’t make sense. Yes, but if you’re talking about which one sounds better, obviously co.nr does because it’s shorter.

Might wanna check out .com.tc or .net.tc, no ads, but .co,nr IMO sounds better.

Now, even if you have the money to go for a custom domain by GoDaddy or any other registrar, you won’t be able to use it for free on WordPress. Yes, despite the fact that WordPress offers excellent service, it charges a lot for minor upgrades. You should have actually thought about it once before moving on to starting a WordPress blog!
I knew that I would be hosting mine soon, so I chose WordPress as it makes migrating a breeze and WordPress.org support is fabulous. Anyway, WordPress charges you a frigging 10$ an year for using a custom domain and CSS rights. Bloggers gives those for free keeping in mind that Domain costs itself are as low as 2$ per annum..!!
Also, does the Google Analytics code actually work on a WordPress.com blog? It didn’t for me. I thought that is supposed to be embedded into the StyleSheet itself. Correct me if I am wrong.

What I meant was that sometimes,your blog takes long to load.I’m not sure why but I think the analytics code might be a reason.It could also be my connection which is unlikely as I have a 128kbps connection. Anyways,it isn’t taking much time right now

See, it really doesn’t matter at all, ‘coz the co.nr thing redirects to your wp sub domain. Therefore, co.nr is simply a waste of time, I’d rather go straight to thetechnut.wordpress.com, anyway it’s a bookmarklet here so it’s just a click.

I cleared the cache and loaded both our blogs (separately), and they take almost the same time to load. I used Firefox 2.

I would say, wordpress.com is better but I won’t discourage you from using a .co.nr domain.If you do so,keep cloaking off which would mean that the address bar would look good.

BTW,do something about the loading time of your blog.
