Have no time today for a full length post…Exun 2008 is tomorrow, and boy, is it packed for me…I’ve got to go for the Junior Quiz, Senior Quiz, Crossword and Surprise Event, and the last two events clash…so I’ll be expected to be scampering all over the campus, which I’ve visited so many times, that it’s easy to locate most of the venues.
Nevertheless, I have to post about something. Any Indian reading this post, and in fact, anyone in the world reading this post would have read about the situation in Mumbai. To be brief, it’s the most outrageous and audacious attack by terrorists on Indian soil/concrete/whatever…
I’m not going to go on and on describing the whole sequence of attacks, but rather, want to look at the fallout. Let me tell you about an SMS I received on Thurday night. I was asleep, so I saw it only on today morning. It’s by a friend…Saumya…and it goes like this…
Great Quote: Pass it on: “Forgiving a Terrorist is left to GOD. But fixing their appointment with GOD is our Responsibility” JAI HIND
Reflecting on this SMS, I realised that the attacks on Mumbai have caused the relationship between citizen and terrorist change further. Now, the average Indian has nothing short of pure hatred in his heart for jihadis responsible for the attacks in recent times. Hatred of such magnitude that an Indian is not likely to hesitate if given the chance to pull the trigger on a terrorist.
Does this show our unity? Or does it mean we’ve sunk to their level? It’s hard for me to tell.
Secondly, I want to talk about my latest fascination…Rage Against the Machine. It’s also apt that this comes up just before Exun…because all Exun intro videos are based on RATM songs. There’s obviously a big following among the Exunites…or just the same crazed fellow making their video…:-P.
Currently have only ‘obtained’‘ two of their albums – Rage Against the Machine and Evil Empire. Like a good number of the songs, but I can’t say I’m an absolute die hard fan, at least, not yet. Currently, I recommend Tire Me, Snakecharmer and Wake Up. By the way, Wake Up as also featured in the movie, The Matrix (last scene actually). Good headbanging stuff, to be honest.
Now I’ve gotta prep some more, hope to win big there. TTYL

Those aren’t the only RATM songs in Matrix trilogy. There are quite a few others too. Calm Like A Bomb, for instance.

Thanks…I guess I’ll be listening to them quite soon.
