Google Chrome : For the impatient ones (with loads of RAM)

A gentle reminder that Google Chrome may be fast, on the surface, but it’s equally fast at gobbling up RAM. Guess that till that hole if plugged, I’m back to good old Firefox. I guess I’ll just have to bear with the loading times. :-( Or I might try Opera, and see if that’s any better…not Safari, because that isn’t so good with security…

I believe the term is ‘eating one’s own words’. They weren’t very tasty…

  1. Told ya.I had some wrong feeling for it.

Get back to gud old firefox. It’s the best.

  2. For loading times, Opera nearly matches Chrome. Maybe a wee bit slower. Opera also looks cool. But apparently, Opera follows W3C rendering codes too strictly. That leads to even slightly unneat code sites rendering weirdly. Otherwise Opera has lots of nifty features like switching to cached images to no images by the click of a neat icon. And with Opera Unite and everything, its really cool. But again, why do I remain in Fx? Trusty Twitterfox etc, and total stuff makes it really functional, something that no other browser can really have at the end of the day… :)

  3. True…I’ve noticed the cache feature in Opera…but ultimately, I’ll always turn to Firefox. This browser has way too many plugins for its own good!

  4. even firefox has “memory leak” problems.that’s the reason i don’t use it.
once the “memory leak” problem goes i’ll be the first one to switch to it from chrome.

PS:got the new url from ankur’s blog
