Push-ups put pressure on the pecs,triceps and also deltoids to some extend if done properly. Biceps are not in the picture. It&#039;s a common misconception that doing push-ups will increase the size of your biceps or tone them.

And one very important thing that you forgot are reps and sets. Reps need to be spaced out properly so that you have enough energy and strength to at least try the last set if not complete it. Doing 30 push-ups in the first set, getting exhausted and not doing anymore is not recommended. If you can do 30 maximum, then do 15 in the first set, 20 in the next, and till failure in the last if you are following a 3 set routine. Like this, you&#039;ll end up doing 50+ instead of 30.</description>
