Just renewed the domain a couple of days back. Also realised that I renewed it for a reason. Which is why I fired up Windows Live Writer Beta to do something about it.

The only reason you’re reading this now, is because either my Facebook linker is still active, or because you forgot to unsubscribe. Either way, you had the choice of not reading, and since you’ve reached till this line, I’ll just assume you were going to read it anyway.

To put it bluntly: I’ve been busy. So busy in fact that it’s completely messed up my workout routine. Coincidentally, that is the last bout of chronic longpostus I suffered from. I probably don’t have the time to catch it again any time soon, but that does not mean that I’m immune.

My last post was nearing end June. A number of things have happened since then.

I gave my mid-terms. They were pretty average, but a slight improvement over my 11th performance.

I also went for a number of competitions for which I didn’t make individual posts, unlike previous years, when I did. The reason being I’ve simply been too swamped to actually bother. But I did find the time to come 2nd (consistently) at BVN, Gateway and MINET quizzes. The club did not however get a single overall, which is a cause of concern for everyone.

In other news, I also had my post interviews. I had originally applied for Head Boy and President, Code Warriors. The first interviews happened before the holidays, and it went pretty well. I was certain of being shortlisted.

However, I was not ready to be at the top of the second list. A nice, yet unnerving sensation. I knew there and then that I had been shortlisted for the top job, because that’s the way the list is always drawn up.

After a few nervous weeks, and a relatively comfortable interview, and several little hints dropped by friends and teachers alike, I was appointed head boy (at least that’s what the notice says). The investiture ceremony is to be held later.

The reason for my being swamped is very simple – I took on a number of challenging extra-curricular assignments. In hindsight, I think perhaps that the number was slightly too much for the present-day-me to handle. A CBSE Maths exhibition and an inter-DPS play are just 2 of the things I’m working on. Both are running in parallel, and I’m sure I won’t have time for anything for a while. I’ll try to post a bit more, but nothing is for certain.
