Yes, I am aware of the complete blandness of the title of this post, but I’m sorry – I can’t be expected to come up with something wondrously witty each time I decide to blog, ‘kay? So live with it.

Oh, but before I fill you in on the specifics of a certain sport and some gifts, I need to emphasize just how important a life experience going to a karaoke bar with a bunch of friends is. Yes, it may be dark. Yes, you may be tone deaf. Yes, you will scream along with you friends. And yes, you will lose your voice. But more importantly, you will have an amazing time with your friends singing along to music that you all know. Of course, there are things like food, alcohol and hookah, but I for one, refused point-blank to partake in the latter 2. Food’s welcome though. Heh.

From R to L : Vinamra, Ponnappa, Ria, Ambika, Pallavi, Pragya, Tanya, Nikita, Himkar and me

Didn’t have too many pictures in the album, but I don’t care. Enjoyed mocking the others though.

Managed a quick hour and a half of badminton at Sirifort with Rishabh, Saksham, Shubham and 2 of their siblings. This was the first time I was playing at Sirifort. The only pair of shoes I could wear there were white/gum soled ones. Since only my new Hush Puppies fit that description, and I was in no mood of getting Mom in jail for culpable homicide, I decided to just play barefoot. Agreed, by the end of play, they were burning, and I did soak them in water at home later, but it was totally worth it. I loved playing badminton after such a long time, and am probably going again on Wednesday.

Me playing a shot

Yes, it's blurry, but that's because it wasn't me who clicked it. ;)

Me attempting to save a dropshot

That's my rather desperate attempt at saving a dropshot from the baseline...

And to top it all, Rishabh and Saksham got me a birthday present. I didn’t mind the fact that is was almost a month late. The fact that they managed to combine something I needed, with something thoughtful just made me feel so lucky. :)

Logitech M215 and mousepad

Aww...they even made a collage with pictures of us!

Needed a mouse bad, especially since the old one’s middle click was dying. And I use it extensively for opening new tabs and firing Mini Razors. The fact that it’s wireless is just an added bonus. And don’t even get me started on the collage they put on the mousepad. It’s one of those things that I know I’m going to treasure for a while. And since my last mousepad has lasted for about 8-9 years, I think that it’s safe bet that this one isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Besides, it’s the sentimental value that means more than anything. Love you guys.
